It’s been fantastic to see the return of  rugby out on the pitches over the last few weeks. Now we turn our attention to off field matters and the important matter of opening the bar!

We also have exciting news regarding the redevelopment of the clubhouse.

Bar re-opening

Good news - the bar will reopen on Monday 17th May.

In the first week open we have a  Classic Car Club meet on the Monday, and on Saturday 22nd May we have the Inner Warrior Camp and Champions Cup Final.  The bar will also be open on the Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and on Sunday lunchtime.

Details of opening times will be communicated each week.

During lockdown, the sound system has been upgraded and further TV screens put up, including a new large projector screen (probably the largest screen in the area!), which will be used to show upcoming sports events, such as all the Lions matches, the Champions Cup, Champions League and Premiership Finals, and the Euros.

After their very popular visit last week, Hogs and Hops Street Food will become a regular feature and will be outside the club every other Wednesday evening starting from 26th May, alternating between their gourmet burgers and stone baked pizzas. Why not eat your food in the club whilst also enjoying a drink, or have a drink while Hogs and Hops cook your food!

During the summer, there will be a number of events such as the Beer, Cider and Gin Festival on 3rd July and our first Golf Day on the 10th July.

Clubhouse Redevelopment

We are very pleased to announce that phase one of the clubhouse redevelopment will start this summer. The balcony will be extended in both directions and will include stairs to provide access from the sports field to both the balcony and the bar.  In addition, the windows in the main room will be replaced with new  patio doors. There will also be improvements to the outside of the club house with new wood effect cladding to the front and rear. This is will be  a major positive transformation for the club. Exciting times! Further details of the progress will follow.

It will be great to see you all in the bar over the coming months!
